2 passionate foodies – one an international touring hip hop artist, the other a trade-marketing manager at a leading global food & beverage brand, come together with a common goal – to revitalize their respective family farms and bring into the world MAKOTO, supplier of premium local wagyu beef.
MAKOTO is both breeder and distributor, the twin operations being MAKOTO CATTLE and MAKOTO DISTRIBUTION. Benji & Byron have built partnerships with leading figures in Japan and Europe as a foundation for these endeavours, with the aim of bringing the highest quality locally bred Wagyu beef onto the tables of the best restaurants in Europe.
Two farms tucked away on opposite sides of the Atlantic with a shared vision – to provide an alternative to industrialised agriculture, and show that when it comes to quality, there is no substitute for independent, conscientious farming.
